Going away party

Shannon's frisbee crew threw a Ho house warming party and going away party for us saturday night. Babysitter fell thru but that didn't stop our little one from being passed from one chick to another. He was in heaven and had no intention of going to sleep while momma and da were having a blast downstairs. Here are a couple of pics of us being toasted. More to come later... (Mom: if you click on a pic it will enlarge)

6 month check up

Rhys just had his 6 month check up with Dr. Sepetka. He sure gave her a run for her money...story not appropriate for the blog. I can say however, he LOVES going to see her b/c it means that he gets all of the paper he can stuff in his face...its like an unlimited buffet of...loud, crunchy, delicious exam table paper. Oh and having a full wall miror to make funny faces at doesn't hurt either. :)

Why I love being a mom...reason #127

I love being a mom b/c I can bust out to my favorite music in public and no one thinks anything of it. Rhys and I were at Whole foods to stock up on some groceries, he's in the bjorn facing forward and the best 90's rock music is playing over the PA. No one blinked an eye as I bopped along to the beat and Rhys squawking along was super adorable. Do not attempt if you do not have a baby attached to you somehow, you will probably be asked to leave the store :)

The snuggler

Rhys' pieces loves to snuggle. He'll plop his face anywhere warm and since we've switched our soap to a cinnaman base, he's all about major snorgling. We're at the mall just taking a bit of a rest.
At the airport, poor little guy is so tired, he went from grabing my cheeks to doing a nose dive and snoring immediately.
Tonight was his first night in a restaurant highchair. Pumpernickle bread and sweet potatoes were on the menu for him. Even though he makes sure to take some time to lick the table.
Hi momma...keep those sweet potatoes coming. Never mind the ones on my chin, I'm saving those for later.

Mmm mmm good paper coaster.

Yummy yummy in my tubba tummy

Hello all. Its Tuesday night also known as butternut squash and rice cereal night. Yes I'm a bit of a messy eater but that just adds to my charm. Momma is in the background talking to Nanny, plotting stuff that doesn't concern me as long as da keeps the chow train coming.
Da...what's the hold up?!? Don't make me start licking the tray like last time.

More Christmas Pics

Ok we've finally got some time to sit down and update the blog. We had a great Christmas in NY. It snowed the first and last day and melted in between so we had a "green" and "white" Christmas. Because I am lazy, these pics are out of order :)

Rhys chillin in cousin Elizabeth's rockin car seat.
Aunt Sarah dressing the little man. He's not a thumb sucker...just anything and everything else he can fit into his mouth.
It may be 30 degrees outside but the kitchen was nice and toasty from all of Nanny's cooking so Rhys sported the "nakie" look.

Here's Grandpa holding Rhys who is having a bit of a time standing on a slick kitchen floor with socks on.

This is the one and only picture we took of Rhys outside when it snowed. He HATES the snow and was royally P.O.ed that we even attemped this.

Aunt Sarah on Christmas morning. This was a feast for Rhys...all of that yummy wrapping paper!!!
Nanny made Hilary this awesome quilt for Christmas. The colors are more vibrant but there was a bit of a glare. I think she's been hanging with the Amish a bit much lately :)

Here's Rhys eating a blue giraffe he got from Australia. This was actually a great distraction from all of the colorful wrapping paper that he was drooling over.

Here he is helping Nanny open her presents.

Grandpa shows his disapproval of the LL Bean slippers...secretly he was doing the happy dance inside his head b/c he would never have to wear those fugly brown old people slippers again!!!

Hmmm Grandpa, I'm thinking of pulling that fuzzy thing on your face...it looks very grabbable.

Yummy, plastic and paper...best combo ever!

Here's Rhys and the momma hanging out upstairs. He's trying to get to the Da by clawing his way up the back...he'll get there.
Aunt Sarah feeding the always empty belly. I grow weary thinking about what our grocery bill will be like when he's competely on solids.
YEAH!!! Vanilla ice cream shuts me up real fast!!! Cold and tasty for those teething gums.
Hello out there...I'm kinda muscular...need to show off the pecs and bulging biceps.
