3+ meals between breakfast and lunch

Since anytime is a good time to eat... breakfast is really the first of many meals for the day. Here are some photos of Oma Sally learning how much I really can pack away.

We also went to lunch at ESPN Zone in Baltimore so I could try some more big people food. Chips/Fries are some of my favorites but I need one in each hand or it doesn't work.

Here is Uncle Nick hiding behind my napkin. I don't know why, but he's really funny. While Uncle Nick was trying out for some rock band, I took the chance to have a quick sip of the moo juice.

Uncle Nick likes sitting beside me in the car when we go driving to find more food (even though I always have a bottle with me just in case it takes a while).

The proof is in the poop

To all you nay sayers out there...We took this last week when mom was out visiting. He's been using the potty every morning and then at least one other time each day. Now if we can only direct his crawling to the bathroom so we know the other times he needs to go. :)

Here is another one a week later to prove it wasn't a fluke :) Now going every morning for the past 2 weeks and catching random potty time during the day.

New additions to the family

I would like to introduce Sophie the sofa and Shannon's unnamed couch. These are our first pieces of non college furniture and they are super comfy.

Here is Rhys breaking in Sophie. He barfed on her right after the pic was taken. And this is Shan's unnamed sofa.
After watching Rhys have such a good time with Aiden's toys, we decided bite the bullet and get him an exersaucer.

Maryland just "survived" the worst winter storm all season. Some compared it to the apocalypse, cars covered in 6 inches of snow, highways caked with powder and not a plow in sight. Everything was canceled: work, businesses...pretty much life as we know it ceased to exist those 2 days of a winter wonderland. Shan got some pics of the hell we had to endure. (I've walked to school in worse...much much worse) If Jay was a Superintendent down here his district would be the only one that wasn't closed.

Here's the bubs rolling around in front of Sophie.

Grrrrrr

Rhys has been growling lately at everything. We got some video of him doing just that and some of him playing with his new basketball from ESPN. Turn up the volume on the speakers for optimal growling. Before you say anything Nanny, yes the movies are dark, no we don't have more lights yet, yes we will buy some this weekend :)

Our fun weekend

Saturday we spent the morning at the financial planner figuring out how much Rhys is going to make us poor when he goes to college. We spent the afternoon washing Rhys' mouth out with Scope (very funny story but not blog appropriate) and then went out for a night in Annapolis with Vannah, Derek and Aiden. Aiden is a week younger than Rhys but their due dates were one day apart. We went to Jos, a japanese Restaurant that does NOT cater to little ones. No room to move, no changing tables, and no high chairs so we passed the bubs over plates of sushi and sashimi. The boys were good for the most part and we had a fantastic time. Vannah ended up wearing a beer, a glass of water and tons of baby food before the night was over but she was such a good sport! We got some great pics of the boys at the restaurant and then at Vannah's parent's house. They were so wonderful with Rhys and it was great to spend an evening with people our age that have a little one too.
Oh first Rhys had bacon for the first time saturday morning. Needless to say he's going to be a carnivor when he grows up. Uncle Pat better hide his piggies the next time we head to Brasher.

Here are the men with the boys getting them ready to brave the chilly Maryland night. The little ones were very well behaved and since neither really have much hair they got along b/c there was no pulling/grabbing.

There was plenty of food to be brought home and the waitress was oh so happy to box it up and get us the hell out of there. Also you can spot the other part of dinner: Rhys' bottle, puffies and Aiden's homemade babyfood.

Sunday we spent the day in Baltimore. First stop was Charm City Cakes for all of you food tv fans. Shannon with get a cake from Duff for his birthday. Then we made our way to the Baltimore Aquarium which was a lot of fun. This nice woman with a little one saw that we were a bit confused as to which line to get into for tickets so she asked if we'd like her 2 guest passes. SCORE! We got to see the dophin show where Rhys tracked the high flying antics of the stars of the aquarium.

After Rhys got his fill of looking a turtles and fishies, we had lunch at the ESPN Zone pub. Good food, tvs everywhere (even in every bathroom stall) and a pretty good sports apparal shop. We got Rhys a couple of football, basketball and baseball onsies. This was definately a Hopkin's kinda joint. :)

Once we were done for the day, Rhys took a 3 hour nap, woke up after he peed the crib and had his dinner nakie style.
