new pics of the peanut

You know you're a great mom when your husband is out of town and you give up trying to have your little one eat at the table so you bring his dinner upstairs and pop it in his mouth while he's taking a bath! Rhys and I are on our own for the next few days while Shan is in Portland. We went to the park tonight and played with all of the animals. Below are some pics of Rhys at the community pool, our little pool out back and just some Rhys randomness. :)

OhKar is the man! (oscar)
Don't be jealous that his tush looks so cute in that swim diaper!!! BTW you have to be 3 and potty trained to come here...good thing he's tall and is soooooo close to wearing his thomas undies all of the time!

Chillin' with ahmi's (mommy's) hat...knawing on an E-pop (lollypop)
Look how long he is!?!?
I'm hot, standing naked in the pool with a juice box...life is good!
Don't even think about taking my apple juice!!!

haha...good thing the camera strap got in the way, otherwise you'd see Rhys playing with his "friend" with whom is OBSESSED with!
I don't remember what he was eating but again...no bibs...they're a waste of money and effort!

Visiting Nanny and Pop Pop

Rhys and I spent 6 days in NY with Nanny and Pop Pop. He got to go to Uncle Pat and Aunt Shelia's farm at least once a day to feed the chickens and cows.

But before we got into those, we took these yesterday...Rhys is pulling Jayden in her wagon. I have high hopes for these two trouble makers :)

Mouth open...vacant stare, that's our boy! He's actually playing catch and not doing too bad at it.
YOGURT!!!!! Want some?
This is why he never has and never will wear a bib...waste of money in our house. He'd rather eat naked anyways.
Something funky happened to our camera so please excuse the purple tint. Here's Nanny and Pop Pop trying to teach Rhys how to blow bubbles without sticking his tongue into the bubble wand.

Down by the creek, Nanny took Rhys and they threw so many sticks into the water and then watched them float downstream. Rhys had a blast...mommy didn't like it so much b/c of all of the silly bugs!

Cute buns alert!

The first mound of dirt in my life that I'm working on that isn't a form of punishment. Thanks mom for all of the fond memories and for all of the great discipline ideas!

garden!

This is our first real DIY job and I think it turned out pretty good...of course we had help :)

DONE!!! Now we've just got to put bushes in the front...some blueberry bushes on the corner and lots of veggies and herbs on the side. Total cost...$128...the only thing we had to pay for was the 4 yards of leafgrow/top soil to put in the garden...everything else was recycled from somewhere :)

Easter Weekend!

We had 2 parties this weekend...one for the little kids Saturday night...10 kids all under the age of 10 running around the back yard. It was a blast!!! Sunday night we had dinner at Vannah and Derek's with Vannah's mom, Betty cooking a wicked roast. Rhys had a meltdown around 7pm so we had to cut it short. We also finished staining the ENTIRE fence and Shan and I worked on the front garden. We're building a raised bed and it is a lot of work but in the end I hope it turns out OK. It's a bit of a "learn as you go" type deal.

Don't hate the boots...it's all he wants to wear :)

Running and jumping

Rhys is all about running EVERYWHERE and if he can't run there, he wants to JUMP! While he looks a bit goofy when he runs...i'm hoping that he grows out of the flailing arm phase so he can hold a lacrosse stick :) The first one is our new bedroom wall color...hot chocolate. Without the glare and in natural light, it's so warm and comforting.

Lost pics from Thanksgiving

We hosted Turkey day and here are a few of the fun times the babies had with Grandpa and Nanny and Pop Pop.

Nothing like giving a 1 year old some root beer to rot his 2 teeth. He loves his Grandpa though...wanted to keep wiping his snotty face all over his pants, drove him nuts :)

Pop pop convinced Rhys that there are leprechauns under our couch. Every morning Rhys would come downstairs and head straight to the ground to search for the little creepy men that apparently live under our brown loveseat. We have since moved it in the hopes of confusing him that the leprechauns have moved and he can stop wiping his pjs all over the floor. Till next time pop pop...
